Life’s Work: An Interview with Jane Fonda

Born to a famous father and a mother who committed suicide, Fonda overcame a tough childhood to find success as an actress and then greater purpose as an activist. She won two Oscars in the 1970s, became a fitness guru in the 1980s, focused on nonprofit work in the 1990s, and has since 2005 returned to acting, most recently in Grace and Frankie.
