The Day Job, Redefined

All through my career, I’ve heard people talk about their day jobs. Usually it was artists, performers, or writers talking about what they did from nine to five to make some money so they could engage in various nonpaying creative endeavors evenings and weekends. For most, a day job was a necessary evil and the goal was to make it as painless and as untaxing as possible so people could get on with what they were passionate about.
