
Sales teams are the lifeblood of revenue growth, yet fewer than 50% of sales representatives have met their quotas every year since 2017, according to a 2023 survey by the Alexander Group, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based revenue and sales management consulting firm. No doubt, organizations are facing serious external headwinds, including a hypercompetitive business landscape and a challenging and volatile macroeconomic environment. And despite sizable effort and investment in systems, data, and enablement, sales teams are continuing to miss their targets because they are often hampered by siloed business processes and outdated systems.
